Spend a Friday evening away and unwind while your kids immerse themselves in our entrepreneurial program! Your kids will learn how to think, create, and pitch like an entrepreneur. Admission includes a pizza dinner and refreshments for the kids (+ 3 hours of enriched learning, fun, and adult supervision) and one free glass of Stonehaus wine for you.
Early Registration closes on 4/21/19 but ticket sales will be open until sold out! Be sure to secure your spot because tickets are limited and will sell quickly!
Start-Up Kids is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been bringing entrepreneurship education to our local community for 3+ years, teaching at schools like Westlake Elementary and expanding to others throughout Ventura and LA County. 100% of all ticket sales for this event will go toward funding our program so that we can continue to bring Start-Up Kids to our local schools. Your support truly does make a difference!
What type of entrepreneurial education and activities are included in your program?
Throughout the course of the evening, we'll be taking your kids on an entrepreneurial journey while you unwind! We'll start our evening by feeding them a full pizza dinner and refreshments at our Hub 101 facility. We'll then dive straight into our program, which will teach your kids about what it means to be entrepreneurial, how to think/ideate like an entrepreneur, how to create, and how to pitch an idea to a team of investors. Our event will be fully staffed with plenty of educators and facilitators to help run our program and supervise your children.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
All attendees for our First Fridays event will meet at Hub 101, our partner incubator-accelerator facility just minutes up the road from Stonehaus. Hub 101 is located at 31416 Agoura Road #105c, Westlake Village, CA 91361. Upon check-in at Hub 101, you will have a chance to mingle with other parents and our educators before dropping off your kids for the evening. From there you are free to spend your evening as you wish. We will be giving you a drink ticket for a free glass of Stonehaus wine if you'd like to make that a part of your evening, since it is just down the road from our Hub 101 facility. Parking at Stonehaus can be tricky, so if you want to avoid the Friday evening rush and $5 Stonehaus valet fee, we welcome you to park your car at our Hub 101 lot and Lyft or Uber down the road to Stonehaus.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No! You do not need to print your ticket prior to the event. Your tickets will be emailed to you upon purchase, so we will be able to scan your digital tickets once you arrive at Hub 101. If you cannot access your digital tickets from your phone, please be prepared to verify your information with a valid ID.
Do I get a discount on wine at Stonehaus?
Yes! We will be giving you First Friday drink tickets that will be valid for a free glass of Stonehaus wine. Tickets are only valid on 5/3/19. Ticket must be given to Stonehaus bar staff at the time of purchase to redeem. Tickets may not be re-used, combined or sold. No refunds or exchanges allowed. Total drink allowance at the sole discretion of Stonehaus. As always, have fun but please drink responsibly!
My child has food allergies - will you be providing alternative food options?
If your child has food allergies (gluten, etc.) please let us know and we will do our best to accomodate them. Please email us at email@example.com prior to the event so that we can make the proper arrangements.
In the event of an emergency, how will I be contacted?
While we've never had a single issue or emergency at any of our Start-Up Kids events, we always take proper precautions to ensure your child's safety. Your contact information (phone and email) will be provided upon registration, which we will use to contact you in the event of an emergency.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes! We are an officially licensed and insured program. The majority of our staff consists of professional educators from local universities such as California Lutheran University and CSU Channel Islands that have been teaching at schools like Westlake Elementary for 3+ years with plenty of experience working with kids of all age groups!
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
If you have any questions, please ask! Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you shortly.
